Plans & Billing

Xenopic has three tiers — Free, Pro, and Premium — billed through Stripe. Free is forever free with no card required; Pro and Premium are paid subscriptions you can pay for monthly or yearly. Yearly billing comes at a discount over paying month to month.

Live prices, no surprises

We never hardcode dollar amounts. The numbers you see on the pricing page are pulled live from Stripe at page load, so they're always current. Pick the exact figure there before you check out.

Free

Everything you need to build a live banner: the full drag-and-drop builder, the core built-in widgets, 50 coins of capacity, and the ability to earn from your banner as a Publisher. On Free you refresh your banner manually.

Pro

Pro puts your banner on autopilot. You get auto-updates — Xenopic re-renders and pushes your banner for you every few minutes — plus all widgets unlocked, including live data widgets like the Stripe MRR widget and the GitHub Activity widget, and 500 coins of capacity.

Premium

Premium includes everything in Pro, raises your capacity to 1,500 coins, and unlocks the Advertiser Studio so you can run ad campaigns across the Xenopic network. Advertising is billed by verified display time, not clicks, and every campaign has a budget that auto-caps so you can never overspend.

Coins are capacity, not cash

Coins are build capacity that unlock and hold widgets — they are not currency and you never buy them with real money. They come back the moment you uninstall a widget. Earning cash from ads is a completely separate economy. See What are coins?.

Upgrading

You can upgrade at any time from the pricing page. Checkout runs through Stripe; once payment completes, your tier flips immediately and your coin capacity rises to match the new tier — 50 → 500 for Pro, or up to 1,500 for Premium. Any referral coins you've earned sit in their own bucket and are added on top, untouched by upgrades.

Downgrading & cancellation

Manage or cancel your subscription from your account settings, which opens the Stripe customer portal. What changes depends on where you land:

  • Premium → Pro: the Advertiser Studio locks and any running ad campaigns are paused automatically. Your ability to earn as a Publisher is unaffected. Your coin capacity adjusts to the Pro allowance.
  • Pro → Free (or a cancelled subscription): your tier returns to Free and your base capacity drops to 50 coins. Auto-updates switch off and premium data widgets lock, but your banner and saved layout stay intact.

What downgrading does to coins

Lowering your tier reduces your capacity, not your earnings. If installed widgets cost more coins than your new tier allows, you'll need to uninstall a few to fit — uninstalling always frees the coins back. Cash you've earned as a Publisher is never affected by a plan change.

If a payment fails, your subscription is marked past-due and keeps your current tier for a short grace window while Stripe retries, rather than dropping you instantly.

Read-only X access, always

Your plan never changes what Xenopic can do on X: access stays read-only plus the single permission to update your banner image. It never posts, follows, or messages on your behalf. See Is Xenopic safe?.
